Simon Jones, Claire McDermott, and Nicola Saunders attended the DevelopHer Awards ceremony in Norwich on Thursday 24th November. It was a fun-packed evening, held at Epic Studios where we had an award to present, an award to win, and old colleagues to catch up with (hello, Ellie Morgan!).
We’ve sponsored the DevelopHer Awards for a few years now and it’s always a pleasure to support an event that’s dedicated to acknowledging and celebrating the efforts of women across all areas of technology.
This year we sponsored the Inspiration Award. In October, Claire worked with her fellow judges to whittle down the many quality entries that were submitted to make a shortlist of just three people. Claire then presented the award to the winner, which is always a privilege.
But, that’s not all! We were delighted to see Claire and Nicola were shortlisted for an award – Claire for Unsung Hero and Nicola for Tech Star. Nicola was nominated for the work she has done on the W3C website redesign.
Congratulations to Claire for winning the Unsung Hero award. She was nominated by colleagues who wanted her to be recognised for the amazing work she does to support the mental health of the Studio 24 team.
