The situation for Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the UK is developing fast. Yesterday, the World Health Organisation declared COVID-19 a pandemic and there is a high risk COVID-19 will create serious disruption in the UK over the next few weeks.
At Studio 24 we have decided to take preventative measures and have drawn up business continuity plans to ensure we can service our clients and keep our team safe and healthy.
We are fortunate that in our industry it’s easy to work remotely. We’ve had flexible working in place at Studio 24 for over three years and support staff by allowing remote working on a regular basis.
For the next two weeks we are amending our working practices:
- The Cambridge office will remain open, but staff are free to work remotely.
- We are limiting business travel and will arrange client meetings over conference calls. If there is a strong business reason for a face-to-face meeting the management team will review this.
- Staff members won’t be attending any conferences, events, or undertaking any foreign travel, on behalf of Studio 24.
We’ll be contacting all clients we are working on current projects to discuss our contingency plans in more detail to ensure projects run smoothly.
At present we do not believe this will disrupt current client work, however, we may need to prioritise project work and support issues as the situation progresses. Please be assured we are taking all reasonable steps to ensure continuity of service.
We’ll review the situation again Friday 27th March.
