The DevelopHer Awards is an annual not for profit awards ceremony recognising women who work within the technology sector in East Anglia. In 2015, the ceremony was held in Norwich, attracting over 150 attendees. In 2016, they grew on that success moving the event to Ipswich, with over 200 attendees. This year the awards are being held in the Cambridge Corn Exchange, on Wednesday 29th November!
The awards were inspired by the team at Norwich based SyncDevelopHER, who run regular meet-ups hosting female role models speaking about their experiences in tech and encouraging more women to join their growing community.
SyncDevelopHER’s founder, Vickie Allen, is the force behind the awards and since East Anglia’s addition to the Tech Nation map, she is keen to build an East Anglian network, so this year the awards are being held here in Cambridge!
Some of the awards up for grabs this year include, The Agile Angel Award, Best Newcomer Award, Entrepreneur Award, Eye for Design Award, and many more! There will be an overall winner from all of the categories, who will be up for The DevelopHer Award.
Studio 24 are sponsoring the event this year! We will be attending the awards ceremony on Wednesday 29th November.
We are huge supporters of women in the tech industry, so are really looking forward to being part of this event!
