Our quarterly get together: celebrating 25 years, belated Christmas crackers, and 9-ball pool.

We always look forward to the quarterly Studio Day as it’s a chance for the whole team to get together in person. This time we met at Storey’s Field Centre in Eddington.

The day got off to a great start as Miro arrived with a delicious homemade Caramel Cream Polish Cake. Thanks, Miro! Unfortunately, there are no pictures as it got eaten too quickly.

As we’ve recently celebrated our 25th anniversary, Simon shared the story of Studio 24 including the clients we’ve worked with, the websites we’ve built, the tech we’ve used, and how our branding (including the office decor) used to be extremely orange! Looking back is a great way to help us think about the future.

The morning whizzed by and we were ready for lunch. This was our postponed Christmas outing and when we mentioned this in passing to the staff at The Astronomer they managed to find us some Christmas crackers. Amazing!

The day finished with games – either pool or axe throwing! Alan has a bit of an advantage in pool as he plays weekly for a team. But he did teach us a fun variation called 9-ball pool.

It was another great day of learning together, laughing together, and sharing ideas of how to make the studio the best it can be.
