The ROAR events this year are all about raising funds for charity causes; this year the beneficiaries are the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity, the East Anglian Air Ambulance and the Cambridge United Community Trust.
2017 is ROAR’s most ambitious year yet, with plenty of events planned over the coming months to get involved in – Have a look at them of the ROAR website
At the B2B exhibition; we attended the speed networking or ‘speed dating’ as we keep accidentally calling it in the office! With about 40 people in the room to talk to about what we do and why we do it, it was a crazy 45 minutes! This was a fantastic chance to chat to new delegates and other exhibitors.
At lunchtime we popped our heads in on the Q & A panel, beginning with ‘The way forward for Cambridgeshire’. Hosted by Chris Mann, and If you caught the Cyber Safety talk from Greg Sewell, MD of Cambridge Networks in the afternoon session, you’ll have understood the key security challenges facing us today. Delegates took away some top cyber security tips.
The afternoon brought the chance for speed (networking) round 2! Delegates who were really keen and new afternoon visitors got the chance to meet each other and talk through their business.
There was much excitement as the day drew to a close, there were lots of prize draws happening around the exhibition, we’d entered a few but it was not our lucky day! We’re looking forward to our next ROAR event, they are running from June to September, so there is plenty of time to get involved!
